Patient experience and quality data provided by WhyNotTheBest.org:
WhyNotTheBest.org relies on measures of hospital quality that are publicly reported on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services website, Hospital Compare. The data sets are updated four times a year. Data are included for nearly all U.S. hospitals, over 4,500.

Safety data provided by LeapfrogGroup.org:
The Leapfrog Group is a voluntary program whose aim is to create big leaps in health care safety, quality and customer value and to recognize and reward these efforts. The data provided is obtained through the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, which is the gold standard for comparing hospitals' performance on the national standards of safety, quality and efficiency.
